About the event
This Introduction to Hand Embroidery Workshop is for those who have no hand embroidery experience at all or those who know a little about hand embroidery and perhaps haven't done any for a long time. We'll start at the beginning with lots of tips on how to thread a needle more easily and how to choose fabric and threads as well as how to use an embroidery hoop effectively. We'll then move on to learning a selection of hand embroidery stitches; how to work them traditionally and how to alter them to get new and interesting effects. Your embroidery will be worked on to your choice of fabric to make your own unique hand embroidery sampler to show off your newly learnt skills. All materials are included.
Skill Level: The workshop is suitable for people of all levels of embroidery experience, from beginners to more accomplished embroiderers.
