Julia founded Upcycle Fashion in 2010 whilst studying MA Fashion and the Environment at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
Upcycle Fashion works across industry, third sector and education, combining garment repair and upcycling workshop delivery, project management, charity shop volunteering and hosting the One Planet Fashion podcast.
Through her work, Julia shares her passion for rethinking waste and enabling circular solutions for textiles with a focus on place based solutions and maximising local opportunities: viewing textiles as a collective community asset to be shared and valued in ways that support local innovation, industry, creativity and education.
